When Kjartan was young he used to play pianos, present tv science shows and invent puzzles. After that he wrote the Murderous Maths books along with lots of other books about magic, space and pants. Then when he got old, a girl called Agatha Parrot started telling him about life at Odd Street School, so now he just types it all out and that's why you're reading this. He has two old pinball tables, about seven guitars and lots of dangerous old music synthesisers and can't play any of them. 'Agatha Parrot and the Floating Head' was Overall Winner of the Sheffield Children's Book Awards 2012. He has also written 'Agatha Parrot and the Mushroom Boy', 'Agatha Parrot and the Zombie Bird', 'Agatha Parrot and the Heart of Mud' and 'Agatha Parrot and the Thirteenth Chicken'.
